19six Architects designed a new running track and soccer field for Ocean View Junior High School in Oxnard, California. The natural turf field is sized to maximize the available space on the site and includes a new below grade drainage system. The running track has an asphalt base with rubberized surface along with a continuous drain around the inside perimeter of the track. Also included in the scope of work was the redesign and re-paving of the outdoor lunch courtyard to increase the dining space for a growing school population.
